Thanks to my extended family, I could join a day on a rice paddy, helping planting rice.

Planting rice is an interesting experience. Just a few years ago, it was a tedious and major back-breaker job. These days advanced machinery does most of the work, but there is a lot of work involved in preparing the rice paddy for the planting.

When the planting is done, the condition of the plants and the water level must be checked every single day until the harvest around September, which I hope to photograph, too.
